Do you file my return for me?

No, and we say that plainly. TaxAI prepares everything: clean books, working papers, and your position with the why behind it. Filing happens on EmaraTax, by you or your tax agent. We are software, not a registered tax agent.

How is this different from an accountant?

TaxAI organizes records, explains calculations, and surfaces obligations. Your accountant or tax advisor brings professional judgment. Use the workspace to prepare for those conversations.

How do Individual and Firm plans differ?

Individual plans cover your own companies. Firm plans cover managed client companies and include unlimited internal accountant members. Both offer Basic or Pro, billed monthly or annually.

How does managed-client capacity work?

Each active client company uses one unit of capacity. Your plan shows the included allowance and the price of additional clients. Increases take effect immediately; reductions apply at renewal and cannot fall below current usage.

Are unlimited accountant members included on Firm plans?

Yes. Invite your internal accountant team without a per-member charge. Only active managed-client companies count toward your plan capacity.

When does an account become read-only?

After a payment grace period expires or a cancellation takes effect, you can still read your books and export records. An owner or admin can restore paid access through the billing portal.

Do I pay corporate tax in a free zone?

Not always. A Qualifying Free Zone Person (QFZP) can keep a 0% corporate tax rate on qualifying income, but only if it meets all the conditions, adequate substance, qualifying income, and staying under the de-minimis threshold (the lower of AED 5M or 5% of total revenue) for non-qualifying income. Non-qualifying income, or losing QFZP status, is taxed at 9%. TaxAI helps you check where you stand.

When do I need to register for VAT?

For a UAE-resident business, registration is mandatory when the total value of taxable supplies and imports exceeds AED 375,000 over the previous 12 months, or is expected to exceed it in the next 30 days. Voluntary registration may be available above AED 187,500 when taxable supplies and imports, or taxable expenses, meet the same look-back or look-forward test. Registration does not make every sale 5%: apply the appropriate treatment, the 5% standard rate, 0% for qualifying zero-rated supplies, or exempt or outside-scope treatment where the rules require it. TaxAI tracks your figures and filing dates; confirm your position with the FTA or a registered tax agent.

What's the corporate tax filing deadline?

Your corporate tax return is due within 9 months of the end of your financial year. For example, a financial year ending 31 December means a filing and payment deadline of 30 September the following year. You may also qualify for Small Business Relief if your revenue is AED 3 million or less (available for tax periods ending on or before 31 December 2029). TaxAI counts down every deadline for you.

Is this a replacement for a tax agent?

No. TaxAI helps you stay organized, keep clean books and stay compliant with FTA rules, but it is not a substitute for a registered FTA tax agent or for professional legal and tax advice. For formal filings, audits or complex positions, always confirm with the UAE Federal Tax Authority or a registered tax agent.

Is my financial data secure?

Your workspace limits access to your account and authorized collaborators. The estimator on this page runs entirely in your browser; its figures stay on your device.
